Gov’t may cut natural gas prices in May

Turkish state pipeline company Botaş will reduce the rates it charges as a result of a decline in oil prices to $40 from $147 in mid-2008, the newspaper reported, without saying where it got the information. The government had cut gas prices in February by 17 percent for household use and 18 percent for industrial consumption.
