Ghobadi screens film at San Sebastian Fest

Spain’s San Sebastian Film Festival has hosted a screening of Iranian director Bahman Ghobadi’s latest film “Rhino Season,” which was shot in Turkey.The festival also hosted the film’s stars, world-renowned actress Monica Belluci and Behrouz Vossoughi, along with Turkish actors Yılmaz Erdoğan, Caner Cindoruk, Beren Saat, Belçim Erdoğan and Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan.
“Everyone loved the film, and this makes me very happy,” Bilgin Erdoğan said, daily Hürriyet reported.
Erdoğan posed for photographers, wearing a dress by designer Zuhair Murad, together with Belluci, in Dolce and Gabbana.
“Rhino Season” marks Iranian actor Vossoughi’s return to the silver screen after 35 years. The legendary actor escaped to the United States from Iran four months before Iran’s Islamic Revolution began and has not appeared in a film for 35 years.
The film will be released in the Turkey Oct. 26. Based on true events, the film depicts the life of Iranian poet Sahel Farzan, who was released after 30 years of imprisonment in Iran. After his release Sahel set out to find his wife, who had been informed by the authorities that Sahel was dead and decided to leave Iran for Istanbul with her children.
