German tourist dies after falling from hotel balcony in Turkey’s Antalya

A German tourist died on May 25 after falling from the balcony of a hotel where he was holidaying in the Mediterranean resort of Alanya, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

Harald Stockinger, 47, fell from the balcony of his hotel room on the 5th floor in the Mahmutlar neighborhood of Alanya due to an unknown reason.

He was immediately taken to hospital but later succumbed to his injures.

Stockinger’s body was taken to the Antalya forensics institute for autopsy. The local gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the incident.
