Galatasaray beat Orduspor after incredible comeback

With the help of Ivorian star Didier Drogba and Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder, Galatasaray was able to overturn a two goal deficit at home to Orduspor on Feb. 25, winning 4-2 and protecting its place at the top of Turkish Super League table.

The fluke first goal of the match came in the 15th minute, when Galatasaray's Uruguayan goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera, kicked the ball out only to hit the body of teammate Selçuk İnan, causing the ball to rebound back into the Galatasaray net.

The Lions went two down when their left back, Hakan Balta, touched the ball with his hand in the penalty area, leading referee Serkan Balta to award a penalty to Orduspor. Bogdan Stancu scored the resulting penalty for the visitors from the Black Sea.

Following tension that broke out at half-time, Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim was sent from the touchline, and thus had to watch the remainder of the match from the stands.

Galatasaray's new transfer Wesley Sneijder pulled a chic goal back in the 59th minute, raising hopes of a comeback. This was followed up by two goals from striker Burak Yılmaz in the 68th and 71st minutes, putting Galatasaray 3-2 in front.

In the 78th minute, Selçuk İnan's classy goal put the finishing touches to the victory.

Galatasaray continues to lead the Super Toto Super League, six points ahead of second-placed Fenerbahçe.
