Gainsbourg in Istanbul for first concert

French actress and singer-songwriter Charlotte Gainsbourg, the daughter of British actress and singer Jane Birkin and French actor/singer Serge Gainsbourg, is coming to perform her third album, “Stage Whisper,” at Küçükçiftlik Park on June 23.

Gainsbourg has been acting since she was 13, and the first glimmers of her parallel musical career date to the same year, when she made a duet with her father on a song called “Lemon Incest.” He produced her first album two years later, in 1986, but she abandoned music for more than a decade after that, not resuming her solo career again until 2006.
