Trabzon Deputy Gov. Halil İbrahim Kantekin accompanied Bartholomew as far as the monastery. Around 350 people attended the Mass, also celebrated by Bishop Seraphim of Apollonias from Australia, Brovarskoy Bishop Mercurios from the Ukrainian Church.
