Four inmates escaped from Denizli prison, two captured

Four inmates escaped from the D type closed prison, located in the Kocabaş neighborhood of the Honaz district in Denizli, in the early hours of July 30.

Four inmates escaped from a prison in the Aegean city of Denizli on July 29, as the search continues for two of them after two having already been captured by security forces.

Four inmates escaped from the D type closed prison, located in the Kocabaş neighborhood of the Honaz district in Denizli, in the early hours of July 30.

The four men, identified by the authorities as A.H., H.H., O.A. and A.G., managed to escape by accessing the roof of a building, located next to the 6 meter high prison walls, and then jumping over the prison walls.

Two inmates captured by the police

One of the suspects was captured by police forces in the Bekilli district of Denizli soon after he escaped on July 29.

Another inmate was also captured by the police in the city center of Denizli July 30.

The police forces are continuing their search for the two other escapees in the region.

The gendarmerie and police forces are monitoring the roads that lead to the neighboring cities and districts as well as investigating the possibility that the inmates received outside help in order to capture them.
