Fener wins to keep pace with leader

Fenerbahçe came from behind in the second half to beat on-form Sivasspor 4-2 Saturday night at Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium in front of more than 30,000 women and children supporters.In yesterday’s early game, Gaziantepspor ended its dismal run with a 1-0 victory over Orduspor. Muhammet Demir scored the winner for the home side in the 44th minute.
Bursaspor hosts Istanbul BB tonight in the last game of Week 27 in the Spor Toto Super League.
In the week’s other games, Antalyaspor beat Manisaspor 2-0 at home while cellar-dweller Ankaragücü lost 3-0 to Samsunspor. Brazilian midfielder Alex de Souza and midfielder Emre Belözoğlu each scored doubles in the Fenerbahçe victory as the home side scored three goals in the second half after the first half ended 2-1 in visiting Sivasspor’s favor.
The victory carried the Istanbul club to second place with 54 points, six points behind league leader Galatasaray, while Sivasspor remained in the sixth spot with 42 points.
After the game, Fenerbahçe coach Aykut Kocaman thanked the women and children supporters who filled the stands following a ban on the Istanbul club. “My team proved tonight that it can come from behind to win, that is the most important thing,” Kocaman told a post-game press conference. He also praised the performances of Alex and Emre. k HDN
