ISTANBUL
The Istanbul Lab, which helps writer-directors from Turkey hone their work on their screens with input from Sundance advisers, will be held for the fourth time this May, festival organizers have announced.Meanwhile, on Feb. 23, U.S. director and Sundance Festival award winner Ry Russo Young will attend !f Istanbul to present her film “Nobody Walks” and also lead a workshop.
She will discuss the script’s evolution, key scenes as well as the Sundance Lab process, in which she participated in 2010.
The talk will be of particular interest to screenwriters and directors, but is open to anyone interested in learning more about the nuts and bolts of scriptwriting.
The event will take place between 1 and 4:30 p.m. at Salt Beyoğlu.
