Enrico Macias charms Istanbul

Legendry French singer Enrico Mascias charmed the audience during a concert at Istanbul’s Zorlu Performance Arts Center late on Nov. 18, playing a number of his top hits to the delight of the crowd. 

“Every time I come here, it feels like coming to my family,” said the 77-year-old of Algerian decent, who had many of his original songs adapted into Turkish pop songs. 

“We were successful tonight as a whole,” the singer marking his 53rd year in the industry told Anadolu Agency, implying that his audience was a part of his show. Macias sang many of his once-popular songs including “Melisa,” “Solenzara,” “Paris” and “Zingarella.”
