Emirates wins Skalite award in airlines class

ISTANBUL

The 16th Skalite “Quality in Tourism” Awards, organized by Skal International Istanbul Club to increase the contribution to Turkish Tourism have been recently distributed with a ceremony. Dubai-based Emirates Airlines received the award in the airlines category.

At a ceremony held recently at the Haliç Congress Center, Country Manager for Emirates in Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria, Bahar Birinci was presented with the award. “Trade data over the last five years between Turkey and UAE show that export was $426,087 million and import was $7.303 million. The investment made by Emirates in Turkey exceeded $30 million last year. We are pleased that we had a role in the development of this trade volume between the two countries,” said Birinci. The winners have been determined with an electronic voting system on the internet with the participation of Skal International Turkey members.
