Drone over Istanbul airport disrupts landings

A commercial airline pilot reported a drone was flying over the final approach course at Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport, while attempting a landing on Oct. 6.The pilot, while descending, informed the authorities at the control tower of the drone. Control tower authorities immediately contacted the police.
Meanwhile, two other Turkish Airlines planes could not land on the runway due to the drone.
