Doctor stabs colleague over nurse in Turkey

A 33 year-old doctor, Abdurrahman Göktürk Kars, stabbed his colleague Muhammet İkbal Şaşmaz during a violent confrontation over a nurse colleague in the southern province of Antalya, daily Hürriyet has reported.Kars and Şaşmaz reportedly spent half an hour arguing inside Şaşmaz's car. The verbal fighting then turned violent and Kars stabbed Şaşmaz in the abdomen.
Kars fled the scene but later turned himself in to the police.
Şaşmaz was taken to hospital by bystanders, and remains in critical condition.
