ISTANBUL
Diyarbakır mayor’s Twitter account falls prey to suspected hackers Hackers are believed to be responsible for a series of ultranationalist slogans that were posted on the Twitter feed of Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Diyarbakır Metropolitan Mayor Osman Baydemir today.

A photo of a Turkish flag featuring republican founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was shared on the mayor’s Twitter account, along with far-right slogans such as "One state, one nation, one flag" and "No one can divide this country.”

In one tweet, the suspected hackers described the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) as a "terrorist organization.”

The tweets were soon deleted from the site, suggesting that they were posted there by hackers.
