Dating site reveals typical cheating couples’ profile

What does a cheating husband look like? According to a new survey by AshleyMadison.com, a dating site for married people looking to have affairs, he is likely to be in his 40s, to have been married for over 10 years and to have two children over 10 years old, the Huffington Post reported yesterday.Of the 11,453 fathers surveyed, all of whom have accounts on the website, the largest percentage of would-be cheaters work in the IT/Engineering field, a career that’s moved up on the list since placing fifth in 2010’s survey.
Engineering tops the list
The round-up reveals that occupations in IT/engineering (10.6 percent), the financial industry (8.2 percent), education (6.5 percent), health (4.6 percent) and law (3.8 percent), harboring the most cheating husbands.
As for the cheating wives, in May, the site polled 2,865 of their married female members and found that the typical cheating married woman is in her 30s, has been married for five years or less and has a daughter under three years old. She is also likely to be a teacher, in the medical industry, or a stay-at-home mom, according to the website.
The information is based on surveys of more than 11,000 men and 3,000 women. The website has far more male users than females.
