Corporate governance up at Doğan Holding
ISTANBUL - Doğan News Agency
Doğan Holding’s corporate governance rating has been raised to 9.03 from last year’s 8.59 by the rating agency authorized by the Capital Markets Board (SPK), Saha.“We manage our business with a fair, transparent, accountable and responsible approach,” said Doğan Holding Chief Executive Yahya Üzdiyen.
Doğan’s rating has been upgraded since 2009, when the company was listed on the Istanbul bourse’s Corporate Management Index, Üzdiyen said.
“We have adopted all the legal regulations that were enacted as of the end of 2011 regarding corporate management. We are also implementing a substantial part of the nonobligatory principles,” he said.
After acquiring a corporate governance rating license from the SPK in Dec. 2006, Saha became the first local corporate governance rating institution in Turkey, according to the company.
