Clashes break out in southeast Turkey

Demonstrators protesting yesterday night's air raid that has killed 35 people clashed with the police in Yüksekova district in Turkey's southeast.A group gathered in Yüksekova district of the southeastern Hakkari province to protest the killings. Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) deputy Esat Canan read a press statement, saying the incident was a "massacre," and the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) was responsible for it.
Demonstrators then started shouting slogans, which prompted to police to use tear gas and water cannon to disperse the group.
Protesters responded by hurling stones at the police before dispersing into side streets.
