City tourism leaders head to Istanbul

The City Tourism Summit, an initiative of the United Nations’ World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), starts tomorrow in Istanbul. The event, which will gather over 1,000 guests from Turkey and abroad, is organized by the Tourism Ministry and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).Minister Ertuğrul Günay, TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and UNWTO Secretary-Gerenal Taleb Rifai will inaugurate the summit, where the tourism futures of large cities will be discussed.
Business professionals, academics and public representatives from 43 countries will gather at the event at the Haliç Convention Center.
