Citizen calls hotline, complains of seagull noise
ISTANBUL
Of the nearly 300,000 calls made to the Environment and Urbanization Ministry’s call center in 2017, one caller stood out the most by complaining about the seagull noise, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Jan. 13.
Another caller from the western province of İzmir also put a smile on employees’ faces at the call center, when they called to complain that their spouse had been talking too much.
While most callers contacted the hotline number 181 regarding issues such as land registry and cadaster, almost 30,000 of the callers called to inquire about urban transformation.
