Child killed in landmine explosion in Turkey's east

One child was killed and another was injured when a landmine exploded in the eastern province of Ağrı’s Doğubayazıt district today.
Shepherds Adem Yiğit, 10, and Ertan Dilaver, 12, accidentally entered a minefield as they led their animals to a grassy pasture for grazing.
Dilaver was killed while Yiğit was injured when a land mine exploded. Yiğit was taken to Doğubeyazıt state hospital.
The minefield was located between two border outposts near border stone No. 108 and was marked with signs, reports said.
