Chemical firm enters Turkey

Texas-based Huntsman Corporation announced Dec. 30 it has acquired Turkey’s EMA Kimya, according to acompany statement. EMA Kimya produces polyurethane for use in the automobile and furniture sectors.
The news comes on the heels of- Dow Chemical’s announcement last month that it would partner with Turkey’s Aksa Akrilik, as well as Indian giant Aditya Birla’s announcement that it would invest $510 million in a factory in Turkey’s southern province of Adana to produce viscose fiber. Huntsman has $9 billion in revenues and employs 12,000
