Cattles to cut 1,000 jobs in 2009

Cattles is in talks with employees about cutting 20 percent of its workforce, the Batley, England-based company said yesterday in a statement. The lender also plans to reduce new business in its personal loan division by 75 percent this year compared with 2008.
