Civilian and security-concerned camps have different U.N.-set regulations, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has said, in answer to opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) claims that they could not get the approval from authorities to visit the Apaydın refugee camp, where it is claimed that rebels are being trained.

“CHP deputies can visit the camp only if the guests of the camp agree to meet them too. If they want to visit the civilian camps, they may do it easily,” Davutoğlu said yesterday. His words indicate that the security forces who have fled from Syria to Turkey might be receiving special and differential treatment. CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu have claimed that camps for security force refugees are being used to train Syrian opposition groups.
