Brussels mosque construction to begin in March

Construction of a mosque, named "Selimiye Mosque," is set to begin in the Belgian capital of Brussels on March 4.Turkish architect Şefik Birkiye designed the mosque, which will stand five stories high and will house 750 worshippers in an area of 2,700 square meters.
The mosque's design carried traces of both Turkish and European architecture, the report said.
The Selimiye Mosque will be completed in two years and will have a cost of 4 million euros.
