Brazil bank cuts rate to record low

Policy makers, led by bank President Henrique Meirelles, voted unanimously to lower the so-called Selic rate to 10.25 percent from 11.25 percent. The move follows cuts of 150 basis points last month and 100 basis points in January. A basis point equals 0.01 percentage point.
