Borsa Istanbul becomes second most lucrative

The Borsa Istanbul 100 (BIST 100) index provided the second biggest return in March worldwide, just after the Buenos Aires Bourse.

The index provided an 8.3 percent return in March compared to February. The exchange ended February at 79,333.67 points but climbed to 85,898.99 points in March.

The Buenos Aires Exchange was the most lucrative bourse in March with an 8.7-point return, according to World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) data. Completing February with 182,443.01 points, the index reached 198,283.31 in March.

The Japanese Exchange (Tokyo TOPIX) was third following BIST. The Athens Bourse, meanwhile, was the least profitable exchange.
