Bookseller D&R opens two stores in Bodrum

D&R, a leading chain selling books, music, stationary and souvenirs in Turkey, has expanded further in Bodrum, a major tourist destination and port city in the southwestern province of Muğla. The chain is part of Doğan Yayın Holding.The two Bodrum stores were opened over the weekend in the Milta Bodrum Marina shopping center and Midtown shopping center in Ortakent-Yahşi, increasing the total number of D&R stores across the country to 119.
Aydın Doğan, the honorary chairman of Doğan Holding, his wife Sema Doğan, D&R General Manager Kürşat Demircioğlu and Hürriyet columnist Ertuğrul Özkük were present the opening ceremony.
“D&R has set an example in the chain store business in Turkey. There are now three stores in Bodrum [with these two new stores]. We will open another one at Milas-Bodrum Airport,” Aydın Doğan said.
Between 25 and 30 new D&R stores will be opened this year, said Demircioğlu.
