Beşiktaş’s Töre officially en route to West Ham
ISTANBUL
Turkish league title holder Beşiktaş has announced in a filing to the stock exchange that it has begun talks with West Ham United to send winger Gökhan Töre to the Premier League side. The filing came amid reports that Slaven Bilic, the Croatian coach who had a brilliant season with West Ham after three years at Beşiktaş, had set an eye on his former charge.
West Ham has already agreed a deal to sign Töre, Sky Sports reported on July 6.
“Töre will join West Ham on a season-long loan and Sky sources understand the Hammers have the option to make the move permanent for a fee in the region of 10 million pounds,” it said.
If the transfer is completed, Töre will be Bilic’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window after Sofiane Feghouli, Toni Martinez, Havard Nordtveit and Domingos Quina.
