Beşiktaş to receive $90 million from Vodafone deal: Reports
ISTANBUL
Beşiktaş has agreed on terms with Vodafone for a 10-year, $90-million sponsorship deal, according to reports.The Istanbul club’s chairman, Fikret Orman, already announced that they had agreed with the British telecommunication company in principle but had not disclosed the financial details before.
According to reports, Beşiktaş’s new stadium, which is planned to be built on the location of İnönü Stadium, its current home, will be named “Vodafone Arena.”
The deal will also include a jersey sponsorship.
Demolition work at the İnönü Stadium started in May, and the new stadium is planned to be built by the start of the 2014-15 season.
