Ban set for Turkey visit

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is set to pay a visit to Turkey today. In a statement released yesterday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that Ban Ki-moon would visit one of the cities in southern Turkey where Syrian refugees are being hosted. “Afterwards, Ban Ki-moon will proceed to Ankara and meet the Turkish president, prime minister and foreign minister. During those meetings, the latest developments in the region and international arena are likely to be discussed,” the statement said. Ban is set to leave Turkey tomorrow.
