Aydın Doğan cartoons in Brussels

The exhibition of the 31st Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition, organized by the Aydın Doğan Foundation, opened on March 19 in Brussels. The exhibition, invited by the European Foundation Center, is being organized under auspices of the Turkish Embassy in Brussels.This year, 814 cartoonists from 70 countries joined the competition with a total of 2,556 pieces. The international committee gathered in the southwestern Turkish city of Bodrum earlier this year to evaluate 300 cartoons by 214 artists from 43 countries which had been chosen by the pre-selection committee.
Turkish cartoonist Kürşat Zaman won first prize. Second place went to Iranian artist Mojtaba Heidarpanah and third to Polish Krzysztof Grzondziel, who was also last year’s winner.
The exhibition in Brussels can be visited at the Philanthropy House until April 23.
