Turkish international and Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan will not serve any alcohol at his upcoming wedding until one of his most famous guests, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, leaves the venue, according to daily Posta.

Arda will be tying the knot with Turkish TV star Sinem Kobal in a June 15 ceremony.

The couple reportedly confirmed the no-alcohol policy, citing “respect for the prime minister” as the motive behind the decision.

Alcohol will be served at the wedding once the socially conservative Erdoğan leaves, the daily reported.
