At least 11 killed in Texas road accident: report

A pickup truck carrying nearly two dozen people in southeastern Texas swerved off the road and crashed into two trees, killing at least 11 people and injuring 12, CNN television reported Monday. The network said at least six of the injured had to be airlifted to hospitals in San Antonio and Corpus Cristi. Their conditions were not immediately clear, it said. The accident occurred late Sunday near the town of Goliad, CNN said. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
