Pippo Ciorra readies to examine the roles of architectural institutions.

Pippo Ciorra, architect, curator, critic, and professor will examine the potential roles of today’s architectural institutions and curators on Feb. 02 at 15.00 p.m. in the Walk-in Cinema of SALT Beyoglu.

Ciorra will address the specific contribution an architectural institution and a curator of architecture can make during the current moment for architecture and architectural theory and its complexities.

In this context, the talk will illustrate the approach undertaken and the experiences gained during Ciorra’s time at the three-year-old MAXXI in Rome.

“We live in a multifaceted space/time where the long wave of architecture as luxurious invention and the new needs for social, ecological and scientific commitments overlap.,” says Ciorra.
