Yoga festival in ancient city of Assos

The ancient city of Assos in the northwestern province of Çanakkale is hosting a yoga festival with approximately 600 attendees, including Turks and foreigners. The nine-day International Yoga Festival has been organized by the Yoga Academy, as it does so only a yearly basis. Attendees from countries such as Germany, Britain, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Italy, France and Russia came to the festival seeking a respite from the daily grind, and a chance to purge themselves of their stress; the ancient city’s natural and historical sites on offer were also part of the attendees’ agenda.

World famous yogi Akif Manaf and Yoga Academy trainers will be delivering the yoga training during the event. Manaf said that they had organized the festival in various parts of Turkey throughout the year, choosing Assos this time.
