Yıldız, Nissin ink deal in pasta production

Turkey’s Yıldız Holding inked a 50 percent partnership deal yesterday with Japan’s Nissin Food Holdings for Bellini Gıda, the pasta producing unit of the giant Turkish food company, which owns the Ülker brand and Godiva.The agreement marks the 10th international partnership of the Yıldız Holding.
Nissin Foods aims to penetrate Middle Eastern and African markets via Bellini Gıda, which it acquired 50 a percent share of for $23.5 million, according to a press release issued by Yıldız Holding.
“Our aim is to produce pasta in Turkey and open up to new markets like Japan, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa,” said Yıldız Holding Chairman Murat Ülker.
