Women’s films to come for festival

The Flying Broom International Women’s Films Festival will be held in Ankara this year for its 16th edition, from May 9 and 16. At a press conference held yesterday, the Flying Broom Women Communications and Research Association President Halime Güner said that a noticeable high number of civil society organizations had asked to contribute to the festival this year, reflecting the festival’s rise in global significance.She said the festival would host 90 directors from 40 countries with 98 films. Noting that Kızılırmak Movie Theater and the German Culture Center would be the venues of the festival. The festival will also present an honorary award as well as a Bilge Olgaç Success Award.
