Women’s film festival ends with award presentation

The Flying Broom Women’s Film Festival ended on May 17 with an award ceremony in Ankara. The Young Witch Award for best actress was presented to actress Ezgi Mola and the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) Award went to the Chilean director Francisca Silva’s film “Ivan’s Woman,” chosen from among 13 other films.The films that ranked in the short film competition of the festival were also presented at the ceremony. The winner of the award was Bilgi Diren Güneş’s “Eyvah Babam Emekli Oldu” (Whoops My Father Retired). The first and second runners up of the competition were Canan Doğramacı’s “Ronahi”and Perihan Türkdoğan’s “Rıfat.”
The winning film of the competition was also shown during the ceremony.
