An İzmir Court made a decision of non-jurisdiction at the first hearing of a case in which a detained woman was beaten by local police officers in the Aegean province of İzmir, daily Hürriyet reported today.
The court sent the lawsuit to the high criminal court by indicating that police officers should be put on trial for torture.
A security camera in the police station recorded the footage showing three police officers beating the woman. The footage was released in Dec. 2011.
