Istanbul Galata Mevlevihanesi is hosting a whirling dervish show Dec. 25. Organized by the Mevlana Culture and Art Foundation, the show starts at 4 p.m. and tickets are available at www.biletix.com.tr.

The show includes a performance of the Pençgah Rite, known as the very first piece of music composed for Mevlevi rites. The Mevlana Culture and Arts Foundation was founded by Andaç Arbaş and A. Doğan Ergin in 1990. The foundation also put on a whirling dervish show at The Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in New York in 1994, in addition to others in 16 U.S. states.
