Water shortage, power blackout in Istanbul

According to the Istanbul Municipality Waterworks, or İSKİ’s announcement because of work on a main water conveyance line between Feriköy and Beşiktaş. The water will be cut starting from 10 a.m. and will not be on again until 12 a.m. today.

Beyoğlu's Arap Camii, Emekyemez, Bereketzade, Müeyyedzade, Kamenkeş, Karamustafapaşa, Hacımimi, Kılıçalipaşa, Pürtelaş, Hasanefendi and Ömer Avni neighborhoods, Beşiktaş's Vişnezade, Cihannüma, Yıldız, Mecidiye, Ortaköy, Kuruçeşme, Arnavutköy and Bebek neighborhoods and Sarıyer's Rumelihisarı, Baltalimanı, Emirgan, İstinye, Yeniköy and Tarabya neighborhoods will not have water.

Istanbul’s Asian side will have a power shortage at the weekend. Because of maintenance work on Kadıköy’s power distribution unit there will be no electricity in various districts for four days. According to the information given by Anatolian Side Electricity Distribution Company, or (AYEDAŞ) between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday the neighborhoods Hasanpaşa, Kadıköy Court House C building, Private Çağıner Hospital, Mirim Çelebi and Taşocakları and Hürriyet, Mürverih and Ata streets.

Acıbadem neighborhood, Zeamet, Hürriyet, Taşocakları, Yeniyol and Avşarbey streets and Doğuş University will not be given electricity during the same hours on Sunday. The power shortage will continue Tuesday atvarious streets and State Supply Office.
