Vladislav Delay comes to Salon

An artist of many pseudonyms, Sasu Ripatti, aka Vladislav Delay, has been one of the pioneers of electronic music over the last decade and beyond. Since 1997, he has been releasing music on a wide variety of labels and his signature sound has been sought after by an eclectic range of bands and artists.

 His main interest is in experimenting with other kinds of sounds and rhythms; a quest to find previously unheard music. Even though complex electronic manipulations are used, Vladislav Delay’s music sounds human, natural, resulting from the mixture of techno and dub with organic textures.
