Victoria’s Secret show is ‘not a Turkish tradition,’ watchdog warns TV stations
ANKARA
“It is being presented as if watching an underwear fashion parade is a Turkish custom. This is damaging children’s physical, psychological, and moral development,” the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) reportedly stated in its ruling.
The ruling comes after Star TV and NTV aired a trailer before broadcasting the fashion parade, which showed Victoria’s Secret models dancing along with Turkish music.
“A custom is continuing: Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show New Year,” the trailer also said.
