The Van Gogh Alive Digital Art exhibition continues at Istanbul’s Antrepo 3.
The Van Gogh Alive Digital Art exhibit has welcomed 50,000 visitors since it opened Feb. 10, according to a written statement by Abdi İbrahim, the pharmaceutical company that is organizing the show. The exhibition has drawn visitors from art lovers of all ages along with group participants from nursery schools, primary schools, high schools, universities, associations and civil society organizations.
The exhibition uses the avant-garde display of images to redefine the audience’s connection with art. The show also aims to heighten all the senses, using light, color and sound to challenge all preconceived notions on how an art exhibit should be.
The event gives a chance to explore the work and life experiences of the prolific Dutch artist during the period from 1880 to 1890. Visitors are able to interpret his thoughts, feelings and state of mind during his time.
Van Gogh Alive uses the Dataton Watchout system and 40 high-definition projectors to create one of the most exciting multi-projection systems in the world.
The system projects huge crystal clear images that are so real that viewers want to touch them onto an array of screens.
The exhibition will remain open until May 15.
