US gun supporters rally as five more hurt in shootings

INDIANAPOLIS
Accidental gunfire at three gun shows around the United States left five people injured amid a heated debate on gun control in the country after similar attacks.

Three people were injured on Jan. 19 in Raleigh, North Carolina, at the Dixie Gun and Knife Show at the state fairgrounds.

In Indiana, a 54-year-old Indianapolis man was injured when he accidentally shot himself while leaving a gun show. Emory Cozee was loading his 45-caliber semi-automatic when he shot himself in the hand.
In Ohio, a gun dealer in Medina was checking out a semi-automatic handgun he had bought when he accidentally pulled the trigger, injuring his friend.

Meanwhile, pro-gun activists held rallies across the United States the same day to defend the right to own firearms they say is being threatened by President Barack Obama’s gun-control proposals.
