University entrance exams end

The University Entrance Examination, which was held in three sessions this year, came to an end with the science test Sunday. A total of 871,313 students took the exams while 308,702 students sat yesterday’s science test, held in 81 provinces in Turkey and Lefkoşa in Turkish Cyprus.

The test was done in one sitting that lasted 135 minutes. Ninety questions were asked on physics, chemistry and biology. For each set of 30 questions on each subject, university candidates were given 45 minutes. While the tests were in different booklets, students used one answering sheet for all.

Students arrived at test centers very early in the morning for security and identity checks. Security personnel searched the candidates at the entrance of the buildings. Representatives from the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) visited each building and each classroom. Candidates will be able to learn their scores with their citizenship numbers and passwords from the ÖSYM website, http://sonuc.osym.gov.tr.
