Uslu said the government has already used money in the fund to pay for irrigation projects and the union would oppose any other attempts to use the fund in ways that don't directly relate to its aims, Milliyet reported on Friday. The best way to fight the crisis is to increase payments to the jobless and extend the period over which they can claim from the fund, Uslu said.
