UK March producer price increase slows

The cost of goods at factory gates rose 2 percent from a year earlier, the Office for National Statistics said in London yesterday. On the month, producer prices increased 0.1 percent. Producer prices dropped on the year because a decline in gasoline product costs offset gains in all other categories, the statistics office said.
