UK businessmen to seek cooperation with Turkey

ISTANBUL
Executives of 17 British companies will pay a visit to Istanbul on Feb. 10, with the aim of spreading seeds for new alliances and boosting already-set economic ties.

Managers of British companies operating in various areas, including technology, energy, software, education, data management and the medical industry, will discuss opportunities for cooperation with Turkish companies in the Turkish market, according to a statement released by the UK Trade & Investment Agency (UKTI) said.

The visit organized cooperatively by the British Consulate General in Istanbul and the British Chamber of Commerce under the leadership of UKTI will allow for new networking opportunities and provide a key insight into commercial opportunities available in Turkey between British and Turkish companies, the statement also read.

The visit aims to bring British company officials, who wish to get to know the Turkish market better and further trade relations with Turkish companies, Turkish businessmen, market experts as well as related agencies.

British businessmen will also exchange views on the Turkish market, with their focus on joint projects that can be developed via cooperation with Turkish firms.
