UAE says central bank decision ‘political’

"The choice of location for the central bank was political," central bank governor Sultan bin Nasser al-Suweidi said on Friday. The United Arab Emirates pulled out of a planned Gulf monetary union after expressing reservations over a May 5 decision that Riyadh should host the pan-regional entity.
